Pretty much, though depends on the tour

by i-took-2

My first 2 trips overseas I went alone so I decided to book a tour, and Contiki was the cheapest. I did Egypt & Turkey with them; and though the makeup of both groups was mostly younger (say, early to mid 20s) there were a couple of 30s people in each one. Turkey was a bit more partying than Egypt (in terms of the group I was with). I'm not a total party girl and tended to shy away from hanging with the crowds. Lots of Australians use them. Their Europe tours are supposed to be a nightmare in terms of drunk kids throwing up on the bus and whatnot. I enjoyed both of my trips, but wouldn't use them again (now I've got the confidence to travel on my own!) I'd particularly avoid Europe or Australia with them if you're not into the party scene

Turkey, Morocco - WDYT of these GAP Tours?

by augustadventure

So, I get a nice chunk of vacation time this August and I am geared up for an adventure.
Two of my destination choices (Turkey or Morocco) are places where as a woman (late 20s), I don't think I would feel safe traveling alone. A tour wasn't initially my first choice, but both of these seem like a pretty cool way to explore these countries:
Anyone been on either of those tours? Or been to Morocco or Turkey?
I'm trying to figure out if these itineraries are overly ambitious and would lead to too much car/bus time & not enough exploration time or if they would be a nice overview of the countries for someone that's never been

Travel to Europe on your own and have fun

by Luvs2trav

Hi, if you are considering Europe, why not plan it yourself and have the freedom that you don't have in a group? I've traveled with tours and traveling solo is by far more fun and much less expensive. With the information you can gather from other travelers in travel forums and info on the web it is easy to do. I just returned from Turkey solo and had a blast.

Do it yourself

by drumkilding

Don't waste your time or money on package tours. Turkey is a wonderful country full of some of the worlds best people. Get a good guide book instead, I prefer rough guide, and do it on the cheep and see what you want. English will be available almost everywhere you go as the youth of Turkey will be more than eager to practice their skills on you. And when you get invited to tea or dinner you wont have to say "not thanks, I have to get back to my group"

What's the need of Distance Education & its various concepts with reference to U.K,Australia and India?

Is the pattern of distance education the same in above countries or different to india?

THE CONCEPT of Distance Education was first advocated In the developing world. Since the 1950's, the population has doubled to over 5 billion people, most of whom want to be literate and want greater educational opportunities for themselves and their children. The majority of this expanding population is in Asia where there are massive problems of poverty, illiteracy and disease. In most developing countries, such as Bangladesh, distance education offers the promise of a system of information distribution through which new ideas, attitudes and understanding might begin to ooze through…

Obtaining a Visa to move to Turkey?

I plan on going to Turkey as soon as I am 18 years old, and I am interested in staying there for a year or two with a Visa. I will be living with my boyfriend there who is a Turkish citizen. If things go well, we will be getting married and I will become a permanent resident.
In the meantime, what is the process to obtain a 1-2 year Visa like?

What do you need?
Do you have to be 18 to start the process?
How long does it take to obtain a Visa?
How much does it cost?

What is the whole process like?I want to get into Turkey as soon as possible, so I really hope obtaining a Visa doesn't…

Call your country's consulate in Turkey and ask for information.

If you are an American citizen you can check these out:
you're a minor and willing to move to Turkey for long term.. Have you thought about your higher education? What about college, are you gonna skip it? Are you gonna study in Turkey? If not, why would you skip your education and move to Turkey for your boyfriend? Don't do that to yourself.

I'm taking this is only a long distance relationship and you don't even really know each other yet. And you're already thinking about marrying him and you're not even 18 yet?
