I asked what Turks call turkeys and the answer was Greeks . I have never eaten Greek there, scared to order it. Heck I can t even pronounce the menu tonight. Patlıcan ve domates ile Yunnan kızartma . Not kidding. I can t wait to sink my teeth into all the food I can t get over here (except the spaetzle, I can make that on my own). Besides what you mentioned, would you believe that they ve got some damn good yogurt? I m not talking the runny crap they have here with the generic fruit flavors. Now if you want to talk about sweets, chocolate covered Niederegger Marzipan is the best sweet meat you ll ever get your hands on over there (and it s expensive as hell here). Turkish food dishes

Brunch was a modified shakshuka with polenta slabs and berries and cream. Dinner is going to be veal scallopini with asparagus and salad. Sorta kinda looking for another easy breakfast recipe for our Sunday brunches. Right now, we re cycling through shakshuka/Eggs In Hell, baked prosciutto and egg cups, baked egg boats , a Turkish eggs and asparagus dish and egg/bacon/cheese breakfast burritos. The Antalya Restaurant serving Turkish food at 233 Sydney Road Coburg is the genuine article The Turkish food is as good as you would get it in Turkey. I have this on the authority of a fellow diner who had recently returned from Turkey. The place felt authentic. It felt comfortable and had an edge of homeliness.
