Last time I checked, Europeans came from Asia. The proto Indo-European peoples came from the same areas that butterpecan was talking about in the Middle East and Centeral Asia, and spread east, west, and north, taking their language and culture with them. English is related to Turkish, Farsi, and Hindi, just as it is to Swedish, Russian, or German, and they all have the same orgin. Wouldn t you know it, I m your standard North American mutt and just happen to look like the stereotypical Irish lass - although I couldn t be more than a quarter ethnically Irish, if that.
