New Warning from Ashcroft

by tinman_at_large

Attorney General John Ashcroft and Director of Homeland Security Tom Ridge issued a joint statement as follows:
'We have received credible information that a well known international terrorist may be planning an attack toward the end of this month. Known by several aliases, the terrorist is believed to be a former Turkish cleric who has a private compound in an isolated area.
According to our sources, he will be entering the U.S. via small, private aircraft and will probably cross into U.S. airspace from Canada. We believe his attack will consist of the distribution of a large number of suspicious packages, primarily earmarked for the most innocent of American citizens, namely children

Greenpeace Building Replica of Noah's Ark...

by Ravachol

ISTANBUL, Turkey - Environmental activists are building a replica of Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat - where the biblical vessel is said to have landed after the great flood - in an appeal for action on global warming, Greenpeace said Wednesday.
Turkish and German volunteer carpenters are making the wooden ship on the mountain in eastern Turkey, bordering Iran. The ark will be revealed in a ceremony on May 31, a day after Greenpeace activists climb the mountain and call on world leaders to take action to tackle climate change, Greenpeace said.
"Climate change is real, it's happening now and unless world leaders take urgent, decisive and far-reaching action, the next decades will see human misery on a scale not experienced in modern times," said Greenpeace activist Hilal Atici

Social Democracy?

by Wexler

No such a thing. Communism was going to make all equal. It failed miserably. Socialism has not solved the social ills that plague Europe. Socialism in Europe still tells people where to live, where they will go to college, and limits innovation. R&D firms in Europe are the smallest in the 'modern world'. In England, people constantly travel to America for routine medical care because in Europe you will wait six months to see a dentist for a toothache. Canada's Health Care system is going broke as well as Japan's. No one pays. The brain drain from Austrailia and Canada to the USA is huge because people with ideas have to wait YEARS for pattent applications

Now that we've clarified PAST roots of conflict

Readers increasingly understand that:
1) Genetic studies, language and culture, confirm that European Jews are descended from people who were driven out of Judea when Rome brutally repressed a rebellion.
2) Jews of Europe maintained connections with their kinsmen who remained in Jerusalem for centuries.
3) Palestine had been part of the Turkish Caliphate for centuries, and
4) Both jewish immigration and land sales to zionists and immigration took place fully within those laws.
3 Zionists bought land from Arab Artistocrats -- the who were EAGAR to sell it do them at high prices

Forgotten Ottoman legacy: Armenian intellectuals  — Today's Zaman
Her novel “Geğdz Hancarner” (Phony Geniuses), in which she sarcastically criticizes Armenian intellectuals, was never completed because of pressure from male intellectuals. She was a socialist and an anti-militarist.
